New Delhi, 27 August (NNS): Due to intense humid weather in North India, the supply of liquid milk has declined across Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. As a result, plants are being forced to procure milk at higher prices. Demand from the Shravan festival season has ended, but production has declined, while consumption of desi ghee and butter is expected to increase during next month’s festive season. Over the past two to three days, butter has been moving towards ports for shipment against earlier export contracts, while new deals for September shipments have also started taking place. Due to limited availability of goods, the market remains firm, with prices trading around Rs 9500/9600 per tin. Prices had already increased by Rs 20/25 per kg over the past three months, and even at the current levels, distributors are finding margins inadequate. Under these circumstances, the market is likely to remain firm for the next month.
देसी घी-बढ़िया माल की कमी रहेगी
नई दिल्ली, 27 अगस्त (एनएनएस) उत्तर भारत में जबरदस्त ऊमस भरी गर्मी से यूपी हरियाणा पंजाब राजस्थान मध्य प्रदेश में लिक्विड दूध की आपूर्ति घटने से प्लांटों को महंगा खरीदना पड़ रहा है। इधर श्रावणी त्योहारों की मांग समाप्त हो गई है, लेकिन उत्पादन घट जाने एवं अगले महीने त्योहारों की देसी घी और बटर की खपत बढ़ जाएगी। बटर निर्यात में दो-तीन दिनों से पोर्ट के लिए माल जा रहा है, क्योंकि पहले के हुए सौदों के शिपमेंट चल रहे हैं, नए सौदे सितंबर शिपमेंट के होने लगे हैं, इसलिए माल की कमी से बाजार मजबूती लिए 9500/9600 रुपए प्रति टीन बाजार में बिक रहे हैं। विगत 3 माह पहले 20-25 रुपए प्रति किलो की तेजी आ गई थी, अब इन भावों में भी वितरक मंडियों को पड़ता नहीं लग रहा है, इन परिस्थितियों में बाजार अभी एक महीने मजबूती लिए टिके रहेंगे।
Milk powder: difficulty in procuring liquid milk
New Delhi, 27 August (NNS): Due to a severe shortage of liquid milk supply in North India, procurement has become quite difficult. As a result, the plants that are operational are having to offer higher incentives for purchasing milk. Even then, good-quality milk is not readily available, which has increased production costs. On the other hand, the demand seems weak and market consumption has slowed during the peak consumption period. Demand for milk powder during the Shravan festivities has now been fulfilled, although sales related to Shri Krishna Janmashtami are still continuing. This year, milk powder from South India is selling at relatively higher prices, due to which supplies are not reaching North India. Consequently, premium-quality milk powder is currently trading between Rs 310 and Rs 328 per kg respectively depending on quality. Therefore, the market is expected to remain stable for the time being.
